Apple Developer Setup & App Submission Requirements Guide

Content Due Date Items

Idea
This article provides details on what is needed for your app content due date for us to start building your app.

Apple Developer Account (does not apply to TBM Engage Contracts):  We need you to enroll your organization for an Apple Developer account & have it approved by Apple by your content due date if your organization does not already have one. More info here.

Once Apple has approved your enrollment you will need to add TripBuilder to your account as an admin. More info here.

We’ve seen it take Apple anywhere from 7-30 days in some cases for Apple to approve the enrollment so this is definitely a high priority item if your organization does not already have an Apple developer account so please keep me updated on the progress of the enrollment.

Once your enrollment has been approved by Apple, we need you to then add TripBuilder as a user on your Apple Developer account. This will allow our development team to build and update your app to your account.

Artwork Needed: Artwork that is required on content due date (all sizes)
- App Icon *Cannot be changed later on
- Feature Graphic *Cannot be changed later on
- Splash Page *Cannot be changed later on
- Home Screen Logo (can be replaced later on)
- Floor plan (at least 1 placeholder one for now, can be replaced later on)

The artwork spec sheet is attached to this article.

For the splash page, there is what we call a “safe zone” for the splash page to appear properly on iPhones with their dynamic screen sizing. I have attached an image showing the safe zone that you can use when creating the 1242 x 2688 splash page size. We recommend not including text, logos, or anything you wouldn’t want cut off in that pink area in the overall image size. *This is noted on the artwork spec sheet as well.

Custom Accent Color: We need the HEX value of your custom accent color on or before you content due date. This is the color that appears throughout the different sections of your app (such as the schedule time bars and the attendee names). *Tip: We advise against super light colors as they can be difficult to read against the white background.

Initial Data Needed: We need some sort of data in all modules. This is items such as 1 or 2 items on your schedule, yourself as a speaker, etc. This data should not contain words like “test” as we then run the risk of Apple/Google rejecting the app as they think it is unfinished.

App Description: The app description is what appears with your app in the Apple and Google app stores. This also includes your app name, the full name that appears in the store, as well as the name that appears underneath the icon when downloaded to a device. A template will be provided to you where you can make any desired edits.

Alert
The above requirements do not apply to TBM Engage style apps
